Becoming a Candidate

You may file paperwork to become a candidate for any Mason County office that will be on the ballot in the November General Election. Review the information for Candidate filing to get started. Information for filing for state or federal office can be found on the Secretary of State’s website.

Raising & Spending Money

For political advertising and financial regulations and reporting:

State and local candidates should contact the Washington Public Disclosure Commission. (PDC)
Federal candidates should contact the Federal Elections Commission.

Voters’ Pamphlet Submissions

Beginning July 2021 all counties are required to prepare and distribute a local voters’ pamphlet for all elections. Be sure to read all the guidelines and deadlines in order to take advantage of this resource and get your name and information in front of Mason County voters.
